Vinnie Jones, known for his role as Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, has unfortunately declined to return for the highly-anticipated third Deadpool movie, Deadpool & Wolverine. The reason behind his decision, however, is not due to a lack of desire to reprise his role, but rather budget constraints.

Director Shawn Levy approached Jones to reprise his role as Juggernaut in Deadpool & Wolverine, which undoubtedly excited fans who were hoping to see their favorite characters return. As a big fan of the Deadpool franchise himself, Jones expressed his disappointment at not being able to don the iconic suit again. Wearing the Juggernaut suit took a toll on him both mentally and physically, as he could only drink through a straw while in it. Unfortunately, the film’s budget could not accommodate his return.

It’s understandable that fans would have loved to see Vinnie Jones reprise his role as Juggernaut, especially considering his role in X-Men: The Last Stand was cut short. Jones himself expressed frustration at becoming an extra in that film, despite the initial potential for a significant role.

While it’s disappointing that Jones won’t be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine, it’s heartening to know that he is a fan of the franchise. Marvel fans can still look forward to the new film and hope for more updates in the future.
