Following the success of Bridesmaids, Rebel Wilson quickly booked six new gigs within two weeks. One of these opportunities was the 2012 a cappella sensation, Pitch Perfect. Wilson writes in her memoir, ‘Boy, did that movie pay dividends!’ She was compensated with the Screen Actors Guild minimum scale of $65,000 for her role in the film. Little did she know that Pitch Perfect’s success would lead to two sequels, with Wilson ultimately earning a staggering $10 million for Pitch Perfect 3.
